About Us

With over 30 years' experience working in the retail shopfitting and construction sectors, Oakdene Interiors can provide a fully tailored service to meet the demands of our clients - from one-off, boutique stores, to national roll-outs for household names.

Health & Safety

CPP

Oakdene regard on-site Health and Safety as being of paramount importance. As such, we are aware that due to the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations of 2015, we have certain legal obligations before commencing work.

Part of these obligations involves the preparation of our Construction Phase Plan (which falls under CDM guidelines). This plan describes how Oakdene will manage our works on site, and also demonstrates our knowledge and understanding of CDM '15. The plan will take into account the Pre-Construction Information to be provided by our client (or Principal Designer) prior to works being carried out, and in sufficient time to allow for the plan to be implemented before we commence work.

Occupational Health and Safety

Oakdene's OH&S Management Manual is our policy and procedure manual. The contents of this manual are based on risks to be managed within the company and reflect current good practice with regard to legislative compliance.

Our OH&S Management Manual is implemented by our site management teams to ensure the correct procedures are in place for compliance and employee safety.

There is a second manual - the Employees Guide to Working Safely - for our employees' reference. It details the safe working practices for them to follow based on the risks identified in this manual and should be used for employee training and induction. We ensure this guide is made available to existing employees at all times across the duration of our projects.

Risk Assessment

Oakdene's risk assessment is a live, working umbrella document, and our functional business tool. By assessing the risks of injury and ill health, identifying what is in place to control these risks and then determining further controls necessary, we define the boundaries of OH&S on all our projects.

By reviewing our operations and establishing risks, Oakdene can plan and implement relevant safe working procedures to ensure, so far as it is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of those affected by our undertaking.

Sub-Contractors

All sub-contractors who work for Oakdene have been used by us for a number of years, are vastly experienced in what they do, and are experienced in working to our standards. We ensure that all our sub-contractors have the necessary qualifications and training to carry out their tasks, and require them to provide us with sufficient risk assessments and any other documentation.

All information is requested and received prior to works starting on site. No sub-contractors will be permitted onto site until RAMS are received.

Public Liability Insurance

Oakdene Interiors Limited has £10m employer and employee Public Liability Insurance.
