Munro House, Leeds

This seven-week project saw the development of an unoccupied floor of a Victorian building into two separate, ready-to-occupy office spaces. As main contractor, Oakdene oversaw: a full electrical rewire, including the installation of new gear trays and trunking spanning the perimeter of the space; the installation of a new air conditioning system; demolition and disposal of the existing WC areas and installation of brand-new modern suites; the ceiling was sprayed in a contemporary matt black finish; the existing floor was ground down to make way for a fresh screed finish; new stud walls were erected to form a designated lobby area and kitchen areas, and an inner wall complete with bespoke mock windows.

Woodside Park Road, Finchley

Oakdene acted as the principal contractor to oversee the development of a dilapidated North-London property into five apartments.

Our first priority was making the building structurally sound: Oakdene installed extensive new structural supporting steelwork, before undertaking numerous structural modifications, including the removal of a central chimney stack down through the property, and making revisions to the existing internal walls. Repairs were also made to the roof and guttering.

Both new and existing walls, floors, and ceilings were soundproofed and insulated to comply with current SAP regulations. Replacement double-glazed window units were installed, and a full rendered finish was applied to the exterior of the property. To the rear of the building, a spacious extension was constructed with a patio terrace, and the garden was fully landscaped.

Oakdenes work on the building continued into the interior: we carried out a full electrical rewire, and installed new mains water and central heating systems throughout the property. Each apartment was furnished with a brand-new kitchen, and bathroom area.

Bishop's Park Mansions, Fulham

Our most recent residential development project saw the modernisation of a southwest London flat.

Working within a three week timeline, Oakdene acted as principal contractor to carry out the removal of the existing kitchen fittings, as well as making extensive modifications to the plumbing and electrics in order to accommodate the revised layout in that room. A brand-new, high-spec kitchen was then installed.

The existing bathroom was also dilapidated and a modern suite was fitted, complete with wall and floor tiling, an electric shower, and an extractor fan.

Bradford Road, Birkenshaw

Take a look at our most recent residential project: converting a double garage into a home office suite.

We fit two offices, a WC, workshop and kitchen into this 38m² space, whilst also adapting the roof void into loft space. Acoustic and thermal insulation was used throughout.

The original garage doors were removed: one was replaced with a set of bespoke hardwood double doors; the other was bricked up using matching Yorkshire stone, and a brand-new hardwood window was incorporated. All new doors and windows were colour matched to the remaining existing windows and fascias to achieve a consistent finish.
